This is our lip sync video we did this to decide who should be our performer. We decided Jordan will be our performer.

Today We was given the task of creating a stilomatic video of video clips of the same style that we wish to include in our music video. This task got us to look at lots of different music videos and picked ideas and concepts which we could potentially use in our media product. We used a variety of different shots form a variety of different music videos

Deciding out preformers name

From the shot list we gathered after asking students at Great Baddow High School we produced a Survey to see which name the public thought would fit best with our image.

 

After asking our class we gathered the results together and found that 'Paleme' was the most popular. Therefore we have decided that Paleme will be the name of our artist.

Costume research

Due to the genre of our song being alternative rock we have produced research on what various alternative rock bands and artists wear. This evidence above shows that alternative rock artists mostly have a relaxed style and appearance that consists of jeans, a plain t-shirt and some form jacket, however the colours of the costumes are very mutual and usually black or white. However due to the nature of our song we will be alternating the main performers outfit by including some bright coloured t-shirts or trainers.

Song Ideas Feedback

Following our song idea presentation we received feedback from the other class groups on what they believed to be our strongest song choice and what one they believed would work the best and how we could improve our strongest idea.

Song 1 - 'No option - Post Malone.
Our feedback for this initial song idea was very contrasting. This is because the majority of our feedback consisted of how the song was too upbeat/fast to make look accurate and clear. However the overall lyrics of the song was said to have a good variety of possibilities. Therefore because of this feedback as a group we have decided not to go with this initial choice as we believe the feedback is accurate after comparing this song to our other ideas.

Song 2 - 'I Fall apart' - Post Malone.
Similar to our first song idea this song received a range of positive and negative. However this choice received feedback that agreed strongly with how we believed we could portray the lyrics and how we could represent the genre and mood of the song accurately. Opposing this the negative feedback consisted of the song being rather repetitive and very slow and not interesting during the long introduction. Due to this feedback we have also decided not to go with this choice as the feedback is too varied from an audience of the age of our target audience.

Song 3 - 'Drugs' - Adam Jensen.
Finally this final choice was our most positive for feedback with the majority of our audience liking the mood, genre and beat of the song. our feedback consisted of the majority believing as a group we would be able to suit and represent the lyrics and overall song more accurately and effective than the other choices.

Synergy Ideas

Firstly I thought our synergy could revolve solely around drugs, so everything would have drug orientated images and writing. For example I thought that we could put a little pill sticker on all of our products and services like so:

However, once our group had decided on a general narrative, I completely disposed of this idea. Purely because it promotes the use of drugs and advocates it, whilst we decided to go for a synergy that is anti-drugs and represents the impactful negatives of these narcotic substances.

Another idea was based around bright vibrant lights and colours, seeing as we all wanted to produce a music video that was composed of trippy visual effects. So our synergy would include hallucinogen vibes and to be full of colourfulness.
